 “A” is for Aspen, and you can work your way through the entire alphabet of locations in Colorado and still have plenty more to explore.  It is a wedding wonderland in all seasons and offers heaps of fun and outdoor adventure for your guests.

The majestic Rocky Mountains are easily accessible from Denver, and with little effort you will discover plenty of “out of the way” spots to tie the knot.  Or, go for one of the upscale alpine resorts with every amenity.  It is no wonder that many of the rich and famous flock to this area because it is cool in the summer and glorious in the winter.

• Airport:  Denver International Airport, Colorado Springs and other regional airports
• Weather:   Colorado enjoys a dry, cool climate and varies depending on elevation.  During the summer, temperatures in the mountains can dip in the 30’s and 40’s, but during the day it will average in the 70’s.  You can also expect afternoon thundershowers on many summer days.  January is the coolest month, with night time temperatures in the single digits and daytime highs in the 20’s.

Marriage Requirements

There are no residency requirements or waiting period for getting a marriage license in Colorado, which is good for 30 days.   At witness is required as you sign your application. There are also no blood tests for physical exams. You will need to provide a birth certificate to prove your age, and certified copies of a death certificate or divorce decree if either was previously married.
