Marriage Requirements
Maryland state marriage requirements specify that a marriage lisence must be obtained from the Circuit Court Clerks office in the county in which the marriage is to take place. The lisence fees vary between counties so it is recommended that you contact the office beforehand. If a visit to the local Circuit Cout Clerks office is not possible, many counties also accept applications using the Non-resident affidavit which can be sent to you. There is a 48 hour waiting period for all marriage lisences.
