Montana is the perfect destination for adventurous couples and is ideal for outdoor activities no matter the season. Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park make this state famous and are not to be missed! Montana is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream with white water rafting, hiking, rodeos, fly fishing and golfing. Marriage Requirements There is no waiting period to get married in Montana and obtaining a marriage certificate is as easy as paying the $53.00 fee. Bring a copy of your birth certificate and if you’ve been divorced, bring a certified copy of the divorce decree. One issued, the marriage license must be used within 180 days or it will expire. You may apply for a marriage license through the Department of Health and Human Services. You must return the marriage certificate to the clerk of the district court within 30 days of the wedding.
