The saying on Nevis is “Your only a stranger here once.”  If you decide on having your destination wedding in Nevis, you will surely want to come back year after year.  Your wedding guests may say the same thing once they experience this Caribbean paradise.

This small island is shaped like a sombreo, and is located about 200 miles south of Puerto Rico, a bit west of Antigua.

There is no lack of things to do while on the island, and your challenge will be to decide among the many locations to have your wedding. Beautiful resorts, secluded beaches, private villas and charter yachts are just the beginning.  There are plenty of wedding planning services as well and Nevis makes it quite easy to say your “I do’s.”

Marriage Requirements

 We recommend that you work with a wedding coordinator who is familiar with the marriage regulations in Nevis to be sure you fulfill all requirements. 

 There is a residency requirement of two days to be married on Nevis and you must present  a valid passport or birth certificate.  If either was previously married, you will need to present a divorce decree or death certificate.  If neither of the couple was previously married you will need to obtain an affidavit confirming your single status and it must be notarized.
