In 1804, Napoleon’s younger brother, Jerome Bonaparte honeymooned in Niagara Falls. Since that time it has become one of the most popular honeymoon destination in the world. More recently the magnificent beauty of the falls has also made it a spectacular backdrop for an unforgettable destination wedding.

Marriage Requirements

The fee for a marriage license in Canada is $100.00 Canadian (Cash only). Both applicants must provide two pieces of original identification such as a birth certificate, driver’s license or a passport and the license is valid within Ontario for 3 months from the date of issuance.

If either applicant has been granted a divorce or an annulment in Canada, they must present the original or court certified copy of their final divorce papers. If the divorce or annulment was granted in a jurisdiction other than Canada, the applicant should speak to an issuer of Marriage Licenses for additional requirements.
