Marriage Requirements

There is a three day residency requirement before you can be married in Tobago and the day of your arrival does not count.  You will need to present passports, birth certificates and proof of entry (airlines ticket). If previously married you must provide a divorce decree with a court stamp or death certificate.  If you have changed your name you will need to show proof of the legality.   The ceremony can take place anywhere, but only between the hours of 6am and 6pm.  Two witnesses must be present at the ceremony.   It is recommended that you work with a wedding planner who is familiar with the requirements to be legally married in Tobago.
